30 years of plastic distribution
2021 has been a special year for Plastics Plus, we celebrated our 30 years of plastic distribution, organised a competition to give back to our loyal clients, planted 300 trees and recently purchased 100 copies of ‘Be Plastic Clever’ book which has been distributed to five different schools.
Sustainability
Plastics Plus has made great efforts this year to embrace sustainability. We feel that as a plastic distribution company it is important for us to fight the stigma that often is associated with plastic. As a part of becoming more sustainable and continuing to make impactful environmental efforts, soon we will be introducing a new product from our suppliers 3A – Crylux® RE.
Crylux® RE
The Crylux RE® is a 100% recycled cast acrylic sheet which is very similar to a ‘green cast’ acrylic sheet. It is made from 100% recycled methyl methacrylate (rMMA), obtained from PMMA scraps and waste. The rMMA is obtained through depolymerisation of acrylic sheets and liquid waste. The benefit of using our Crylux RE® is that the recycled material can be reused and therefore prevents waste, saves raw materials and reduces carbon footprint.
The Crylux RE® acrylic sheet is a high-quality material and a great alternative to glass. In fact, it’s equivalent and more cost-effective to other products on the market. It is the perfect choice for a wide range of applications due to its high optical transparency, durability and UV stability. Some uses include corporate signage, high-quality display, furniture, art and so much more!
