Plastics Plus supply various materials for sports venues. Recently we supplied a large quantity of Polycarbonate for installation at the Queen’s tennis club for their June competition. This was mainly for safety guards and balustrading keeping spectators and competitors safe, and was in the ideal thickness of Makroclear Polycarbonate to provide excellent safety and protection. In addition to tennis, we have also recently supplied materials for football, hockey and cricket.
Protection
During the pandemic we have supplied materials for sports venues to provide Covid protection in their stadiums, again protecting attendees, officials and competitors. This has enabled sports venues to once again welcome the crowds that have been so missed during this time.
For sports applications plastic is a much safer alternative to glass, but still offers the visual advantages of glass. The impact resistance for ball sports is ideal and with the range of thicknesses we offer, this can protect against even the hardest hitter. We also supply materials suitable for score boards, this might be for an indoor or outdoor setting; where anti-glare polycarbonate is an ideal product.
